A stroke is a brain attack. Signs of aneurysm: crashing headache, trouble with balance (vertigo) migraine headaches. This is more common in women due to hormonal changes. Foods thought to trigger migraine headaches: red tint such as in red wine, foods in nightshade family: potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers. Stroke is the 5th leading cause of death in the U.S. Regarding diet, eggs are no longer thought to cause high cholesterol. Recommended decrease salt consumption, decreased use of canned and processed foods, no preservatives. Some ethnicities seem to have an increased risk of stroke. For more information go to the American Stroke Association website HERE!
