Vice President John Legris introduced our speaker, Ron Morander of Morgan's Wonderland who is the Chief Operating Officer since 2011. "Together we are making a difference." The "WE" is important - if I don't put myself in the equation there is no "WE." The park offers tours to business people looking to make a difference. This will be the 7th year for the "More Delightful than Frightful" where guests can dress up and have fun. "Everyone comes in costume - even the adults!" This is their busiest day, expecting 3,600 guests. It is a community service project benefitting the Food Bank.  The entry fee is 4 cans of food. The park has had 1.5 million visitors from around the world.  "It's all about the quality of the experience, the impact. It's about the smiles." says Ron. "I am truly blessed to come to work every day." (From the website) "Community-Based Instruction trips to Morgan’s Wonderland  for elementary school students constitute an extension of the classroom.  Eleven education stations have been set up around the park, and each lesson or activity is based on the corresponding, state-mandated TEKS requirements.  Two new lesson plans developed in conjunction with Region 20, Education Service Center have been added for 2019." Morgan’s Wonderland will host the Special Olympics Texas 2019 Summer Games.
