Special Announcement
Due to the recent COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak there are some delays and changes in Rotary events. There will be no regular meeting for Oak Hills Rotary Club for the remainder of March.  The club will be notified of further developments. Please contact President Rick Tarbell or Secretary Mary Denton with any questions or concerns you may have.
 
The President of Rotary International, Mark Mahoney and John Hutcherson, President of District 5840 both issued caution about travel and meetings. You may read President Mark Mahoney's message HERE District 5840 President John Hutcherson's message was shared last week with our members. 
 
Prayer, Pledge and Visitors
President Rick Tarbell opened the meeting with the ringing of the bell. Ken Donoughue led us with a word of prayer and the pledges.

Ken Donoughue announced the next Rotary Leadership Institute will be May 9 at Spring Creek United Methodist Church. Please visit the District 5840 website to register.  Ken will be a facilitator. Members of our club who have taken part have learned a lot about Rotary and how to better serve our club and community!

Club Lunch and Business Meeting
Vice President John Legris introduced our guest speaker, International name expert Sharon Lynn Wyeth. We honored our guest speaker today by donating a book to the Locke Hill Elementary School Library.
 
Thank you Gloria Richter for donating books for the month of March.  She has chosen books that focus on the American Indians.

Show Low Raffle Drawing
Vice President John Legris described today's wines: The Federalist Texas Red Blend "You're going to like this" and Sister Creek Muscat Canelli John and his wife Chihiro like this one.  Bil Trodlier owned the first ticket drawn for a chance to win the $250 pot.  He drew the king of hearts and took home the red wine. Joe Montagna owned the second ticket drawn and he will be adding a bottle of white wine to his wine cellar.
