Vice President John Legris introduced this week's wine offerings: from Germany, Thomas Gewurztraminer Kabinett and from Austria, Sturmfeder Blaufränkisch Trocken. The latter is named for the blue variety of grapes used to make the wine. Amazingly, John pronounced the names of these two wines - we think fluently - well, at least no one in the club corrected him......
Gloria Richter held the first ticket drawn and had a chance of drawing the 2 of clubs to win the $875 pot this week. She was looking for the 2 of clubs but alas, she drew the ace of diamonds. "Nobody is a loser at Oak Hills Rotary Club", she took home the red wine. Rick Rhodes owned the second ticket drawn he took home the white.
Fun Fact: John Legris once was a foreign exchange student to Austria!
