In honor of his 95th birthday, Ken Ruiz called Don Deal on the phone and we all and sang “Happy Birthday!”  We hope that his day is really special!

Club Luncheon and Business Meeting
President John introduced our guest speaker our own Ken Donoughue!  Bridges 2 Care San Antonio was brought to our attention by Pathways to Hope. Focusing on mental illness and ways to address it and put the stigma aside.

Board meeting in November. Time to be announced. Topics will include District Governor Toson's initiative, building mini libraries. Our club's initiative, the Nueva Rosita water project. Also naming the non profits that we will support this year.
 
Raffle Committee Wrap Up
From committee members Ken Ruiz & Fred Timmons – Ken is asking for your feedback. Still to be decided – the winner of the privilege of driving a Mini Cooper provided by Mini of San Antonio!
 
From Treasurer Fred Timmons:  We sold all 300 tickets – kudos to everyone for all their hard work.

Happy Hour and Coffee Friday
A month ago or so we had a virtual coffee.  We could possibly plan a live coffee Friday Nov 13th
We are discussing possibility of another happy hour soon!  Virtually or in person.

Discussion was made about the Town Hall Meeting tomorrow evening at 6:30 pm. Jerry Hardy will present “Why I Give to Rotary” Town Hall Meeting.  Please register on the district website – click HERE to register.
 
It's a Wrap!
Morgan’s Wonderland reports success for the Halloween event this year!  Due to covid-19 restrictions this was a drive through event.  PLEASE watch this heartwarming video thanking SO MANY who made this a success – click HERE!!!! From District 5840 Executive Secretary Jo Ann Browne:  "We gave out Candy and SMILES to over 600 Families - GREAT JOB!" Our club and many other district Rotary Clubs have have long supported this amazing event!
 
Future In Person Meetings Planned
We are very excited about the prospect of safely meeting in person again at the Outback Steakhouse!  Another possibility, according to Ken Ruiz, is to meet at Mini of San Antonio who has offered their meeting room.
