Pessimist glass has empty, opt glass half full, engineer the glass is twice as big as it has to be

Woman was caring for little girl who said, "Mommy always makes me hot muffins." The woman prepares the muffins. The girl says “no thank you." The woman asked, "Why aren’t you eating them? You said your mommy always makes you muffins." The little girl said, "She does, I don’t eat them."

Club Business
Gold Raffle Update
President John shared Treasurer Fred Timmons' wishes:
We need to advertise that every ticket that goes into the hopper must accompanied with the money. If a club member turns in a ticket and hasn’t turned in the money, then the club member is responsible for payment.

Treasurer Fred has purchased the gold. If you have an unsold ticket, turn in the tickets now so that someone else can sell it. If you have sold the tickets and have collected the money make arrangement with Fred so he can get the money.

Deadline to turn in unsold tickets is Oct 15.

If you need for more tickets because you have buyers, contact Treasurer Fred.

Thanks to the Raffle Committee for doing an excellent job!

Veronica Ruse & Ken Ruiz met with the Mini dealership. Offering a prize of driving a mini for a week.
Ken Ruiz said they will send facebook invite so that we can share with ticket holders and interact students so they can participate.

The Gold Raffle will be virtual on zoom at the Mini Dealership.  Details are being worked out.
Invitation will be on facebook so that members can share to ticket holders.

Other Business Matters
President John spoke about our support of non profits. Due to covid we have run a little late. Will discuss the foundation budget in November.

Since we don’t have a speaker today we can briefly speak about Morgan’s Wonderland and Governor Toson’s initiative to promote literacy.
Allyson Hamlin shared her screen with a picture of the library.  Destiny Mujica thinks an apartment complex near our club has a lot of immigrant children and the possibility of putting the box there.  Ken Donoughue also mentioned the Girl Scouts Daisy Pantry area. Bruce Richter recommended providing Spanish language books.

Ken Donoughue spoke with someone at Locke Hill Elementary Learning Tree. Possibly begin volunteering at the Learning Tree again in a couple of weeks.

President Elect Rick Rhodes spoke about the water project in Mexico. He has been in contact with Dr. Garcia.  California Rotary Club is also involved and is building the building for the equipment.

President John asked about the possibility of our club volunteering at the MUNSA pancake supper this year. Interact Sponsor Joe Montagna will check to see if the event will be held this year.
